Misaki is a thirteen year old girl that left her home to live with her aunt in the city. Lost and confused she wanders around the train station only to find herself lost outside in the big city. The fist thing she sees upon entering the city is a huge TV on the side of a building with an Angelic Layer fight going on. She immediately becomes intrigued and wants to know how to participate in this fascinating sport where size doesn’t matter but reflex and skill do. She stumbles across a strange man in a lab coat who calls himself Icchan who tells her how to get started in the wonderful world of Angelic Layer. From here out she learns how to fight with her angel Hikaru and goes from one adventure to the next in her new found home.
