This is a story about an extraordinary girl called Alita. It all starts with Ido, when on his usual search for spare parts in the scrapheap under Tiphares, the utopian sky city. This is where he finds the intact brain of a cyborg girl, since he is a doctor of cybernetics, he assembles a body from spare parts for her.
When Alita regains consciousness she realises she don't have any recollection of her past. With this in mind she starts to search for her identity. She soon discovers her fighting abilities. Through this she sees an opportunity to learn about herself and evolve as person. This complicates her relationship with Ido, he just wants her more to be like an ordinary girl. This won't stop her, she signs on as Hunter-Warrior on her quest for enlightment. This is only the beginning of her adventures..... The main story circles around Alita and her life in the city, the Scrapyard. The first part takes you to the scrapyard city's center and surroundings. The Next part is mainly centred in the wastelands between the farms outside the city. In the last episodes she finally makes a visit to Tiphares,The utopian sky city that is hanging above the Scrapyard.
