Flame Of Recca



 

Hanabishi Recca
Hanibishi Recca is the descendant of the mysterious Hokgae Ninja Clan, which was pretty much eliminated 400 years ago. The only survivors from that dreadful day, when the clan destroyed are Recca, his mother, and his half-brother. Recca and his half brother are the infamous Flame Masters. Now Recca is a very determined guy, and doesn't like to hurt people, or kill people. He is also very devoted to his friends, especially to his 'hime' Yanagi. Besides being the nice guy that he is, he also has a great power in him of eight flame dragons. With each dragon representing one of the former Flame Masters of the Hokage.




Kurei
Kurei is a very deep, and tortured soul of a character. He isn't really a bad guy...in heart, but only doing his father wishes. He has a deep hatred, and its a justified one for Kage Houshi, and Recca. Because of Recca being born he lost his birth right of being the next Flame Master of the Hokage. The reason for this is because with Recca's birth there were two children with the power of the flame. Kurei was viewed as an evil omen, and he and his mother were cast out of the village. His hatred was so strong that when Recca was sent to the future, Kurei tries to follow but because of the forbidden jutsu there was no way of knowing what time period Recca and Kurei ended up in. It wasn't until after Yanagi is rescued that Kurei realizes that his younger brother is in the same time period he is in. In the futue he was raised by Mori Kouran, who is one mean guy. Mori implanted a explosive device into Kurei when he saw Kurei's power. The device is used to make Kurei do what Mori wants. To show this Mori kill Kureni the only girl Kurei ever showed feeling to right in front of him. He threatans Kurei that anything he gets emotionally close to will be destroyed.




Tokiya Mikigami
Tokiya is a cold, calm, stubborn, fellow. He sees himself as the best fighter in team Hokage and should be the leader, much to the annoyance of Recca. The only member he treats with respect is Kagerou. The main reaosn for him being so cold and always wanting to be superior has to do with his quest to get revenge against his sister's killer. With his water sword he is a tough opponent, and a great assest to team Hokage.




Kirisawa Fuko
Kirisawa Fuko is a friend(rival) of Recca's. Fuko and Recca have known each other since they were in grade school, and the whole thing of them being rivals started when Recca told her that if she could beat him, he will become her ninja. Since that time she has trained hard to defeat Recca, without much luck. Even though she can't beat Recca, she is very skilled and is able to master the elemental weapon, Fujin. This weapon gives her the ability to control wind.




Ishijima Domon
Ishijima Domon is also a friend(rival) of Recca's. He is first seen in the first episode trying to beat up Recca. He seems to give the impression that he is going to be a bad guy, but he turns out to be a great characer with hardcore pride. Domon is determined to be the strongest in all of Japan, and that is why he wants to beat up Recca. Domon also has a huge crush on Fuko, and sometimes this crush on Fuko seems to give him huge determination. Even though he is big and strong he is probably the weakest member of team Hokage, just only ahead of Yanagi who doesn't even fight. Despite this he trains and proves to everyone that he isn't a useless member.




Koganei Kaoru
Koganei Kaoru is a fun loving kid...(imagine a small version of Recca). He loves riddles and puzzles, and is great at solving. This is the main reason Kurei recruited him, and gave him the deadly elemental puzzle weapon Kougan Anki. The weapon requires great mental skill since the weapon can be turned into five forms, with a rumored sixith one. Koganei is able to fully master this weapon. To show how great his skill is he is only 12-13 years old, but he has the ability to be part of Kurei's Jusshiun Shu Uruha, the elite group of assassins that Kurei employs, but because of his age he can't join yet. He was very close to Kurei, but because of a broken promise he leaves the Uruha and becomes Kurei's enemy. He eventually joins team Hokage.





Satoshita Yanagi
Satoshita Yanagi is Recca's "hime"(Princess). She has the power to heal people, and she gave herself up as a forfeit in case team hokage loses the tournament. She is an interesting character in that she doesn't have much of a personality, and is always dependant on Recca to help her. In the manga, however, she does have more of a attitude, and doesnt come off as a wimp.




Kage Houshi
Kage Houshi is Recca's mother from 400 years ago, and an encyclopedia on elemental weapons. She, like her son, was a member of the Hokage Ninja Clan 400 years ago, but when she used the time manipulation technique to send her son to the future to be safe she was cursed to live forever. The only thing is when she did the time portal Kurei who was only five at the time, jumped through also to follow Recca. She looks the same as she did that day(she was 20 or so) and has had to suffer thorugh all the time that has past in hope, she would find her long lost son someday. At first she seems to be a villian, but after she tells Recca her past, she is very motherly. Another part of the curse is that her and Recca can't touch each other.




Morikawa Ganko
Ganko is a sad lonely little girl that lost her mother to an illness. While eying a mannequin that resembles her dead mother, she meets Kurei. Kurei offers her the elemental weapon that can control dolls, and brings them to life. Even though she is very young she is part of Kurei's Uruha. When she is defeated by Fuko she sides with the Hokage.




Neon
Neon is the leader of the Uruha Ota, and she is extremly and intensly devoted to Kurei, and vows to protect him. Neon's past is linked with Aki and Miki. All three were homeless and one day ended up at Kurei's mansion in hopes of finding work. They were maids and she saw first-hand how much love Kurei had for Kurenai. She also saw when Kurenai was killed in front of Kurei's very eyes by his step-father. Unlike everyone else she knows the what pain Kurei has had to suffer, and she will make sure he doesn't suffer anymore.
